Manchester City are finally set to sell $A53.5 million (£30m) flop Eliaquim Mangala, five years after he arrived at the Premier League giants.
The 28-year-old France defender has not played a first team game since February 2018, and has only made 57 Premier League appearances for the club since arriving from Porto in 2014.

Mangala struggled to lock down a starting role for the Citizens before being loaned to Valencia in 2016-17, where he earned 30 La Liga caps and scored twice.
He made eight PL appearances for City in 2017-18 before a loan move to Everton last year, while long-term injury problems also hampered his career.
The La Liga giants — who regularly play in the Champions League — announced they had signed the eight-game France international to a two-year deal, and it is believed they did not have to pay a transfer fee.
Valencia released a statement saying they had: “reached an initial agreement with Eliaquim Mangala for the French defender to join the club through to June 30th, 2021. The agreement is pending the completion of the definitive paperwork.”
Mangala is unlikely to feature in Valencia’s La Liga opener against Real Sociedad on Saturday as he hunts match fitness.
